Matt Christopher Books are a Big Hit!

Many students have been asking for MORE Matt Christopher books in the library! The Author 'Matt Christopher' writes mainly stories about kids and sports. The Riverside PE teacher, Mr. Slater, overheard students asking for more Matt Christopher and donated his entire collection of Matt Christopher books! Thank you Mr. Slater!

Paws to Read

The Paws to Read program has been in the library every Tuesday after school. Kids can read to a trained therapy dog named Buckeye (along with his owner, Amy). The Riverside kids find reading to Buckeye relaxing and 'cool'. Plus, I always love a great library patron!

Reading Is Fundamental - RIF!

Students PreK-6 came to the library to choose their 2 free RIF books, all made possible by donation! RIF is held twice a year and students are always excited to browse the great selection of books. Just another way the Riverside school and Oneonta community encourage reading!

Spring in the Library!

Spring into a good book at the Riverside Library! In second grade classes we have been reading about planting and farms. Check out the seeds we grew thanks to the Otsego County Farm Bureau grant which donated the book Seed Soil Sun by Cris Peterson.
